Boilerplate

Copy-paste-ready descriptions.

Use any of these verbatim, or remix. No permission needed. We won't ask for review.

One-liner (≈ 20 words)

CommunATI is Manitoba's STEM coordination layer — a free directory and toolkit connecting member organizations, families, schools, and partners.

Short paragraph (≈ 60 words)

CommunATI is a Bay Tech Ltd. initiative making Manitoba's STEM programming findable, navigable, and connected. Instead of running another program, CommunATI is a coordination layer — a single directory of programs, a shared mentor and equipment pool for member organizations, and an event calendar families can subscribe to. Launching in Manitoba in 2026.

Long paragraph (≈ 110 words)

CommunATI is a Manitoba-first STEM coordination layer built by Bay Tech Ltd., a Winnipeg-based two-person operation. It is not another robotics club or coding camp; it is the map and switchboard above them. Member organizations list their programs, share mentors and equipment, and coordinate lesson plans. Families search, follow, and subscribe to events. Schools and funders see the whole network at a glance. Subscription tiers ($29 / $59 / $129 CAD per month) fund the platform; Indigenous-led STEM programming joins free, permanently. The marketing site is bilingual (English / French). Manitoba launch is planned for 2026 with web and iOS apps.

Open the SVG in a browser, screenshot, or export from any vector tool. We ship SVG-first so the marks stay crisp at every size. If a publication strictly needs PNG / EPS / AI, write us and we'll send a one-off rasterized set.

Brand guidelines

One-page rulebook.

The name

Always written CommunATI — with the trailing "I". The "ATI" is the emphasis; it can be visually distinguished (gold colour, bold, italic) but never dropped. The pronunciation is comm-yoon-AT-ee. Avoid "CommunAT" (the I is load-bearing, not optional). Avoid all-caps "COMMUNATI" except inside icon files where letterform requires it.

Colours

Navy #0B1B3B — primary, used for backgrounds and "commun".

Gold #D4A52A — accent, used for "ATI" and CTAs.

Navy-bright #142A55 — gradient stop for the OG image.

Paper #FFFFFF — page background for the marketing site.

Typography

System sans-serif stack: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, sans-serif. No bundled webfont — we render in the visitor's native UI font for speed and consistency. For print, use San Francisco (Apple), Segoe UI (Windows), or Inter (open licence).

Don't

  • Don't drop the trailing "I" → write "CommunATI", not "CommunAT".
  • Don't recolor the wordmark outside the navy / gold / white palette.
  • Don't rotate, italicize, outline, or add drop-shadows to the wordmark.
  • Don't stretch — keep the aspect ratio.
  • Don't crop the brand-mark tile so the gold "AT" gets clipped.
  • Don't co-brand with the wordmark — set CommunATI's mark alongside yours with breathing room equal to the tile's height.

Do

  • Do use the white-on-dark wordmark on dark hero backgrounds.
  • Do use SVG sources for print & web.
  • Do credit "CommunATI" on first reference, then use either "CommunATI" or "the CommunATI directory" throughout.
  • Do reach out to press@communati.ca for one-off asset requests we haven't anticipated.
Founders

Two people. Two beats.

Shawn Brezden — Operations

Short bio (≈ 40 words). Shawn Brezden runs operations at CommunATI and is the founder of parent company Bay Tech Ltd., a Manitoba electronics retail and services operation. He brings the retail-side problem-spotting that became the case for a STEM coordination layer.

Long bio (≈ 90 words). Shawn Brezden is the founder of Bay Tech Ltd., a Manitoba-based electronics retail and services operation, and the operations lead for CommunATI — Bay Tech's STEM coordination project. After years of seeing parents struggle to find STEM programming for their kids inside the same conversations he was having about repairs, electronics, and tools, Shawn started building the directory and coordination layer he wished existed. He handles partnerships, funding architecture, and the day-to-day with member organizations across Manitoba.

Maryam — Director of Education

Short bio (≈ 40 words). Maryam is CommunATI's Director of Education. She brings education-leadership experience and judgment about what kids actually learn from STEM programming — the difference between "a robotics class happened" and "a kid built something they understood".

Long bio (≈ 90 words). Maryam is the Director of Education at CommunATI. Her work centres on what kids actually take away from STEM programming — the gap between attending an event and walking away changed. She brings the education-leadership lens to the platform's age-band design, the partnership criteria CommunATI applies to member organizations, and the school-side engagement work that makes the directory useful inside Manitoba's school divisions. She also leads the Indigenous-led STEM partnership track, which keeps programming on Indigenous terms with no subscription fee, permanently.

Photo: available on request. Last name withheld at her request — please refer to her as "Maryam" in copy.

Press releases

Coming soon.

We're a pre-launch initiative, so the press-release archive is empty by design. The first release will be the Manitoba launch announcement in 2026 — member-org cohort, founder availability for interviews, and a fact-check window for early coverage. If you want it routed to your inbox the day it goes live, write to press@communati.ca with subject "Add me to launch release list".

We don't blast wires. The list is hand-curated and goes out once. After launch, this section will hold the archive.

Need something we haven't shipped here?

One-off photography, an interview slot, a fact-check, a raster export, a Manitoba-specific data point — write us. We try to reply same-day, always inside 48 hours.
